Sterling Engineering Consultancy Services Private Limited has offered engineering design services for the built environment since 1978. The company was promoted by the partners of M/s. Hadker Prabhu and Associates - a firm of consulting engineers, founded by Mr. N. B. Hadker in the late 1950’s. Over the years, the practice has widened its scope of activities to include large Office Complexes, Luxury Hotels, Shopping Malls, Hospitals, Industrial Projects, Multi-storied Buildings, Sports Complexes, Townships and other civil engineering projects. Sterling has earned a reputation for creative contributions to engineering and architectural design, technical excellence, remarkable cost and material efficiency and responsive service to Clients all over India and abroad. Sterling has completed projects not only in India, but also in The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Iraq and Sri Lanka. Many of these projects have been in collaboration with architects of international repute. Structural concepts developed by Sterling include a variety of Steel, Concrete and composite construction systems. Such concepts have often established entirely new vocabularies in architectural and engineering solutions. Sterling has performed successfully under both conventional and non-conventional project schedules including fast-track projects. 		Most of our design solutions have been appreciated not just because we produced the most economical design but the most appropriate one. Therefore, I would like all of you to take keen interest in other disciplines such as air-conditioning, MEP and interior designing which are integrated in the final design of the building. Similarly, constructability and speed have become very important issues in recent years. Let us observe interesting projects being executed all around us and learn to appreciate and analyse new ideas while trying to adopt them at the right time in our work in hand. In most cases, our work finally gets concealed by architectural finishes and the common man remains unaware of the significant contribution made by structural engineers. However, we should not be discouraged by the lack of appreciation and recognition from the public. Let’s remember that the people who really matter are watching us all the time.
